Since the web came out, most of us have been downloading music and videos religiously. Filling our ipods and youtube favorites with endless hours of stuff.
But what if you want to watch something away from internet? Most of us have access to the internet on our phones, PDAs and laptops but what if for some reason, internet isn't available either? Or what if you want a song from Youtube to play as a mp3 on your ipod?
Well if you prepare beforehand this could be possible. Sites such as Vidtomp3.com and Vidtomp3.net you can input the address to a Youtube video and it turns it into an mp3.
Just rename the file afterwards and you're ready to add it to your library.
To download videos from Youtube and other video sites you should be using the firefox browser. In firefox you can select Tools ->> page info and go to the media tab, to see all the media on the page. These files are usually pre-converted to .flv (macromedia Flash) files and you might have to convert them to view on your computer or some other device.
Alternatively you can get a plugin such as videoDownload Helper, to help with the download process, and convert to a user friendly format at the same time.
