Monitoring Desire HD HTC HTC Sensation, Super XL

In October 2010, we saw the launch of the HTC Desire HD. This model was revolutionary in its time as was the first branded phone to offer a display of more than 4 inches. Rightly, this model has become a huge hit with consumers and remains a very popular model. A year later we saw the HTC Sensation XL released the latest major feature planned for the brand. We look at these two models and how technology has advanced over the past 12 months.

The most important of these two models is their large screen size that will attract the attention of several media enthusiasts who want to use their device to play movies and games. The Desire HD uses a 4.3 inch screen, which is now a fairly standard size, but at the time of his release was the largest screen available. This screen can display a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, which is exactly the same standards as those offered on the new sensation XL. Despite offering the same quality of resolution, the new sensation XL really use a new type of display technology with S-LCD instead of the format used on LCD Desire HD. This means that the image quality is better on the new model with more vivid colors and better viewing angle. Despite offering a much larger screen the newer model is actually thinner than with the HD screen.

S-LCD not only offers improved image, but also a physical screen finer than the touch panel is integrated into the screen rather than on a separate sheet. The result of this is that the XL measures only 9.9 mm deep by 11.8mm compared to the Desire HD.

One of the areas for improvement have taken place even with the chipset is offered by the two models. The feeling XLuses HTC powerful set that includes a 1.5 GHz processor and GPU Adreno 205. The Desire HD uses the same processor 500 MHz GPU, but the scorpion is less than the new model only 1Ghz. It is interesting to see how technology has evolved over 12 months. At the time of his desire to release HD was ahead of its time in terms of specifications and the model is still a very capable device. Advances in display technology and treatment, however, makes HTC Sensation XL a top model in a variety of areas.
