Android 4.4.1 arriving on more Nexus devices [update]

Nexus 5 and Nexus 7

Along with Nexus 5, Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 LTE also getting new Android version

Update: The OTA file for the Wifi version of the Nexus 7 (2013) is now available. You'll find the link after the break. Get to it!

Original Story: The Nexus 5 isn't the only device getting updated to the new version of KitKat, Android 4.4.1. The update is also hitting the Nexus 4 and 2013 Nexus 7 (LTE version only, for now) as part of a gradual, staged rollout. It appears the update isn't quite as big a deal for these devices as it is for the N5, which inherits a bunch of important camera improvements with its latest OTA. Nevertheless, both should benefit from the usual assortment of tweaks and fixes that point releases tend to bring. Given the fast pace of 4.4.1's arrival, it's likely other Nexus devices won't be too far behind.

We've got direct download links after the break for those wanting to sideloadAndroid 4.4.1 onto the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 LTE. If you need help flashing the update to your device, be sure to refer to our how-to post on the process.
