AT&T LG G Flex slated to get KitKat update tomorrow

LG G Flex

Owners of the LG G Flex on AT&T might find themselves checking their phones for a pending software update tomorrow, as a new support doc from AT&T indicates that an update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat should be rolling out starting on April 17th. The AT&T G Flex last saw an update back in February, but it was a small bug fix release for Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. This update will be chock full of KitKat goodness.

And it very well ought be full of goodness, considering the 686MB download size that will be required. In addition to all of the improvements that are part of KitKat, the Android 4.4.2 update for the AT&T G Flex will also bring restyled status and navigation bars, battery life improvements, and "enhanced processing speed".

Those with LG G Flex phones on AT&T can find the update screen by firing up the Settings app, tapping on the General tab, selecting "About phone", and then tapping on Software Update. As the update weighs in at two-thirds of a gigabyte you'll need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network to download it.
