Windows 8 is preparing for its debut, perhaps in 2012. In the meantime, Intel is ready to officially launch the new Atom CPU Clover View, platform Clover Trail 32-nanometer manufacturing process for such high-k metal-gate solutions developed in Cedar Trail and Medfield. This association seems to mark a step forward in terms of performance and efficiency, given the characteristics of the new Intel chip and the new operating system from Microsoft, which will support high quality materials for maximum versatility.
There are not many details available at the Clover for now. What we do know is that the new processors will seek to compete with ARM on the performance and consumption.
