Weekend Labor Day traditionally marks the official end of summer. While enjoying the long weekend break to reflect on the original meaning of Labor Day, and how it has evolved over the decades.
In the late 19th century terrible working conditions were the norm in the industrial cities of America. The average factory worker to twelve hours a day, seven days a week just to meet basic family expenses. And young children are not excluded from the exhausting routine.
