Two new high-res tablets from Samsung rumored

Octa-core12.2-incher and Snapdragon 800-powered 10-incher rumored, both with 2560x1600 displays

Since the launch of the Nexus 10 last year, Samsung has focused mostly on mid-range products in the Android tablet space the recently-launched Galaxy Tab 3 line, for instance. But later in the year the company might push ahead with more high-end Android tablets, if new, leaked hardware details from the usually-reliable @evleaksare to be believed.

The prolific Twitter leakerhas today posted specs for two new high-end, high-res tablets. The first, "SM-P900," reportedly carries a 12.2-inch screen, anExynos 5 Octa CPU, a2560x1600-resolution display and a Wacom-based"S Pen" stylus. The second, "SM-P600," is said to sport a Snapdragon 800 CPU and a 10-inch, 2560x1600 display.

The P900 would be the largest Android device from Samsung to date (unless you count the OS-juggling Ativ Q), and the inclusion of an S Pen suggests it might be branded as a Galaxy Note device perhaps a Note 12.2. Meanwhile, the P600could match the dimensions and display resolution of the Nexus 10, only with a speedier CPU.

There's no word on when these new tablets might officially arrive, but the Berlin-basedIFA is usually a pretty big show for Samsung, so we'll keep an eye out in Germany next month.
