We've got the Samsung Galaxy Core LTE and the Samsung Galaxy Core Advance, but what about a replacement for the year-old Samsung Galaxy Core? Well, we're getting that too, if the latest leak is to be believed.
According to Hi-Tech.Mail.Ru, the image you see above is that of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Core 2. In line with the Galaxy Core series, the Galaxy Core 2 is a lower-end mid-range (or upper-end low-range?) phone. It's said to have a 4.5-inch 800x480 display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB for storage (plus Micro SD expansion), and a 2000mAh battery. The front camera is reported to be a VGA shooter, while the sensor around back registers a 5 megapixels.
That's not an awful phone, but it hardly compares to Samsung's flagship Galaxy S5. Thankfully the price hardly compares either, with the Galaxy Core 2 said to retail for 9990 rubles (that'd be around US$280) when it hits Russian markets on May 20th.
