Developers looking to roll up their sleeves with wearables will be happy to hear that Samsung has released the first open source code for Tizen running on the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. This kernel should enable the creation of custom ROMs of all kinds. The Gear 2 SDK just launched last month, which should handle the needs of app developers that simply want to plug into the existing software rather than rebuilding the core experience.
Interested developers can get downloading from Samsung's developer page.
